I have awesome friends

It's my birthday! Yay for me! Many thanks to all who gave me many well-wishes.

I had a wonderful morning. Last night I was super tired so I took a "nap" at my parents' place after Thanksgiving. I went to sleep at around 8-8:30 and woke up at midnight. I didn't feel like going back to sleep so I went home. I cleaned up my room a bit (it still needs about an hour of work, but at least it looks livable now) and sat around waiting to feel tired. I finally went back to sleep at around 5 am and woke up at 10 this morning.

What a morning!

I woke up to find my door decorated with birthday well wishes, as well as a clue or two :)

Here are the riddles I got this morning:

Clue #1 (on my door)
What always runs but never walks, often murmurs, never talks, has a bed but never sleeps, has a mouth but never eats?

I had K for an audience (she was waiting for me to wake up, apparently she wanted to watch me puzzle it out) and she followed me to the bathroom where I looked in the tub. There I found the second clue, and a present!

Clue #2
I go in dry and come out wet, the longer I'm in the stronger I get.

This one took me a while and a few more cryptic hints, but finally I understood the answer and opened my pantry to find clue #3 and this:

Clue #3
What's black when you get it, red when you use it, and white when you're through?

This one I had help. Specifically, I had K's sisters chatting in the background and somehow the answer was accidentally spoken. So I popped open the oven and found:

I didn't know that game existed!
On top of that game was the last clue:
The more you have of it the less you see.

This one (like the first one) I solved all by myself, but had a tricky time figuring out where to look. Finally I opened the hall closet (which has no light switch) and found two enormous bags of candy. I was super happy with the thoughtful presentation and my amazing friend! What a wonderful way to wake up in the morning!

It turns out K-La also remembered that I aged today, and she sent me a package in the mail. I'm amazed at the planning and foresight she had. I'm also amazed because I didn't know that she knew I wanted this very much:

It's Flight volume 6! I've already sat down and read it. It was amazing! JTTF and thank you so much~!

Thank you so much to all my wonderful friends who have wished me a happy birthday. You are all great!

The birthday celebrations and felicitations are tomorrow, with my family. I think instead of having a party tonight I'll use the time to do homework (I'm kinda looking forward to it, really). I'm baking my own cake and I'm kind of excited for it, so when it's done I'll take pictures.

Anyway. Thanks again! Love you all!

It's cool. The majority of my friends either live far away in-state, out of state, or abroad---such as yourself. Thanks for the well-wishes!

looks like some cool games! I have started a game in Folklore but someone borrowed it and I haven't been able to play it since. It has an interesting comic book aesthetic thing going on. Also: Assassin's Creed game for DS!?

Bwhahaha! Success!
I had actually had someone (Thankyouthankyouthankyou) sneak into your room and tell me what books you had. ;)
